Alex Andreu, a journalist and regular contributor to the New Statesman, writes for BBC Radio 4 and weekly for The Guardian newspaper. His first novel is due to be published in 2015. Alex is a keen poverty campaigner, political commentator and advocate on migrants’ rights.
In this talk Alex shows how by targeting migrants, extreme parties shift the political landscape to the right and open a backdoor to difficult policy areas. His call to action – migrants need to stop apologising for their presence and force themselves into the political equation.
